Christmas markets in Norway 2026: dates for Oslo, Bergen, Røros and Trondheim

Torches, horse and sleigh and mulled wine in the snow. Norway’s Christmas markets have an atmosphere the big European markets lack. Here are the 2026 dates for Oslo, Bergen, Røros and Trondheim, and the hotels in the middle of it all.

Torches along the streets, horse and sleigh through the snow and the smell of mulled wine and fresh waffles. Norway’s Christmas markets are smaller than the big ones in Germany and Austria, but they have something those lack: the snow, the dark and the atmosphere of wooden towns like Røros. Here are Norway’s biggest Christmas markets in 2026, with dates and hotels nearby.
