Four Seasons Hotel Tunis
White Moorish wings step down through the gardens to the pools and the sea, and at night the coast glitters all the way to Sidi Bou Said.
You wake to the sound of the sea, with the Gulf of Tunis just beyond the gardens. The hotel lines the beach at Gammarth, the seaside suburb north of the capital, and its white wings in Moorish style wrap around a string of pools.
Rooms look either out to sea or over the gardens. Inside there is a large spa for slow afternoons, and when the light goes, the lamps along the shore lead your eye towards the blue and white village of Sidi Bou Said.

Why we chose Four Seasons Hotel Tunis
We chose it as the easiest first stay in Tunisia. You get a real beach holiday, yet the capital, the medina and the ruins of Carthage are close enough for a half day out, and you are back by the pool for dinner.
It is a large hotel and fills up in high season, so do not expect intimacy in July and August. Rates are among the highest in the country. If you want local character, a few nights in the medina will give you more.
