Kempinski Hotel Muscat
A wide, uncrowded beach in the north of the city, with a marina promenade and a golf course in the same neighbourhood.
Early in the morning the beach at Al Mouj is long, broad and almost empty, with room to walk for a good while before you meet anyone. The hotel's bright lobby and generous rooms carry on the same feeling of space.
Al Mouj is a newer part of Muscat built around a marina and a golf course, close to the airport. It suits a stay where the beach comes first and the old town is an outing rather than a daily walk.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Kempinski Hotel Muscat
We chose it for families and for anyone mixing beach days with a round of golf or time on the water. Rooms are big, there is a choice of pools, and arrivals and departures are easy with the airport nearby.
It is a long way from Old Muscat, Muttrah and the souk, and you will rely on taxis to see them. If the sights are the reason for your trip, a hotel in Qurum or Ghubra saves time.
