Tensing Pen
Cottages hidden in a tropical garden on Negril's cliffs, with a footbridge over a cove and ladders that drop straight into clear water.
On the West End of Negril the land ends in low limestone cliffs, and Tensing Pen has made the most of it. Cottages built from wood and stone sit among palms and flowers, and a footbridge crosses a small cove below.
There is no beach, so the sea is reached by ladders and from the rocks. The water is deep and clear, and in the evening every terrace faces west for the sunset.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Tensing Pen
We chose Tensing Pen as our pick on the cliffs. It gives you nature, privacy and a strong sense of place without the feel of a resort, and guests rate it among the very best in Jamaica.
If you want soft sand underfoot, this is the wrong place, as you swim from ladders and rocks. Seven Mile Beach is a short ride north, but you will need a taxi to get there.
