Katikies Santorini
Whitewashed arches stacked down the cliff at Oia, with one pool above the next and nothing but the Aegean beyond the last of them.
Look down from the path in Oia and Katikies is the picture you already know: white walls and arches stacked on top of each other, and blue pools scattered between them, all the way down towards the sea.
The look is pure Cyclades, with curved rooflines, whitewash and very little else to distract from the water. Each level has its own pool, so even in summer you can usually find a quieter corner.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Katikies Santorini
We chose Katikies for travellers who want the Santorini of the photographs and are happy to pay for it. It is a calm, adult hotel, and the pools on different terraces spread the guests out.
Many rooms are far down the cliff, and every trip to the village means climbing. Children will not find much to do. If you want a livelier base close to bars, a room higher up is a better fit.
