Grace Hotel Santorini
A long pool running towards the edge of the caldera, white walls with nothing on them and a view that does the job of all the decoration.
Imerovigli sits higher on the caldera than Oia, and Grace takes full advantage. The pool is long and narrow, stretching towards the drop, and the sea below looks impossibly still.
The architecture is modern and spare: sharp white forms, big windows, very little clutter. In the rooms, the glass is the point, framing the caldera from the bed.

Why we chose Grace Hotel Santorini
This is our design pick on the island. Grace suits couples who prefer contemporary calm to classic whitewash and arches, and Imerovigli is a quieter base than Oia while keeping the same sunsets.
Imerovigli has a limited choice of restaurants, so many dinners mean a taxi to Fira or Oia. If you like stepping out of the door into lively lanes, Oia will suit you better.
What you get
- Long pool towards the caldera edge
- Rooms with large sea-facing windows
- Sunset over the caldera
- Restaurant on site
- Taxis to Fira and Oia
A day at Grace Hotel Santorini
- Morning
- An early walk on the cliff path towards Oia before the heat.
- Midday
- A swim in the long pool once you are back.

- Evening
- Sunset from the rim, then dinner at the hotel.
