Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai

  • Ha My beach
  • Pool villas
  • Spa
  • Cooking school
  • Bikes

Three pools step down towards the sea, and rows of dark wood villas stand under the palms on a long, pale beach between Hoi An and Da Nang.

At The Nam Hai the day starts with the sound of the sea and very little else. Villas sit in long, ordered rows under the palms, and the three main pools drop in terraces towards Ha My beach.

Plenty of villas have a pool of their own, so you may barely see the other guests. When you want company, there is a cooking school, a large spa, and the old town of Hoi An a short drive inland.

Picolo’s verdict

Why we chose Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai

This is our choice for the beach part of a Vietnam trip. After Hanoi and Hue, it gives you room, silence and service of a very high standard.

It is one of the most expensive stays in the country, and you will need a taxi or a bike for every trip into Hoi An. Between September and December, rain can spoil beach days.

What you get

  • Three terraced pools by the sea
  • Large spa
  • Cooking school
  • Bicycles for rides to Hoi An
  • Villas under the palms
