Green Valley Ranch Resort
From the pool at Green Valley Ranch the whole valley opens up, with the mountains behind it and the Strip as a far-off glitter.
Green Valley Ranch is out in Henderson, roughly half an hour by car from the Strip. It is designed to look like a Spanish village, with vines growing in the garden and low buildings around the pool.
The pool area looks out over the entire valley to the mountains, and there is a large spa for slow afternoons. It feels more like a resort holiday than a city break.

Why we chose Green Valley Ranch Resort
This is our value pick and a smart base if you have a hire car. Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon and even the Grand Canyon work as day trips, and you get more hotel for your money than on the Strip.
You cannot step out of the door into the lights of the Strip. Evenings in the city mean a drive or a taxi, so it suits travellers who see Vegas as one part of a wider trip.
