Picolo recommends · Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada
ARIA
Tap the tablet by the bed and the curtains open on the Strip, in a glass tower where art replaces the gilt of old Vegas.
ARIA is the main hotel in CityCenter, the cluster of glass towers in the middle of the Strip. The public areas hang contemporary art where older resorts would put chandeliers, and the mood is calm and tidy.
In the rooms, a tablet runs the lights and curtains, so you can open the view without getting out of bed. Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan are both an easy stroll away, which puts most of the Center Strip on your doorstep.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose ARIA
ARIA suits travellers who want a big modern hotel that works well: good service, clean lines and a central location. The casino is there, but set apart from the lifts, so you are not walking through it every time you go up.
If you came for the gold and velvet of classic Vegas, ARIA can feel a little cool and corporate. It has less character than the older resorts around it, which some guests see as a plus and others miss.
