Ocean Key Resort and Spa
The hotel at the very end of Duval Street, with its own pier over the harbour and the best seat in town for sunset.
Ocean Key takes up the corner where Duval Street runs out of land. The pool looks straight onto the harbour, and the pier reaches out over the water with a bar and live music most evenings.
Mallory Square, with its street performers and sunset crowd, is next door. Everything in Old Town is a walk away, which makes this an easy base for a first trip to Key West.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Ocean Key Resort and Spa
Few hotels in Key West put you this close to the water and the town at the same time. You can watch the sun go down from the pier and be on Duval a minute later.
The flip side is noise. Duval Street is lively until late, so light sleepers should ask for a room facing the harbour rather than the street.
