Step out of the lobby and the bay is right there, with the sand across the road and the little market square full of cafés beside you.
Morning on Crescent Avenue starts with shop shutters going up and boats swinging on their moorings. Hotel Metropole sits right in the middle of it, beside Metropole Market Place, a small square of cafés and shops.
The beach is across the road, and some rooms look out over the bay. Avalon is small enough that everything else, from the ferry to the Casino building, is reached on foot.

Why we chose Hotel Metropole
We chose it for its address. You are on the seafront in the centre of Avalon, with coffee, swimming and dinner all a few steps away, and you never need a golf cart or a taxi.
The same position means noise. The square and the street stay busy into the evening, so light sleepers should ask for a room on the far side. It also suits adults better than families looking for a pool.
