Rosewood Abu Dhabi
A glass tower on Al Maryah Island, wrapped by water on three sides, where the windows frame the channels and the city lights.
Draw the curtains and the channels are right there, with the skyline stacked up on the other side. Rosewood is a bright, contemporary hotel, and the rooms are built around those large windows. At night the towers across the water light up one by one.
Al Maryah Island is the city's business district, compact and walkable along the water. A promenade circles the hotel, the mall is close by and there is a good choice of places to eat without needing a car.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Rosewood Abu Dhabi
This is our design choice in Abu Dhabi. The rooms are light and calm, the food is strong and the location puts you in the middle of the city rather than out on an island resort.
There is no beach here. If swimming in the sea is a priority, plan on taxis to Saadiyat or the Corniche, or choose a beach hotel and come to Al Maryah for dinner instead.
What you get
- Contemporary rooms with big windows
- Views over the channels and skyline
- Several well-regarded restaurants
- Waterfront promenade around the island
- Central city location by the mall
