Sailrock South Caicos

  • Villas
  • Reef
  • Diving
  • Quiet island
  • Beach

Your villa looks down the slope to an empty beach and the reef beyond, on an island where the busiest place is the fishing harbour.

The small plane from Providenciales, the main island everyone calls Provo, drops you on South Caicos in very little time. From there it is a short ride to Sailrock, where villas and suites step down the hill towards the sand.

Below the water line is the real draw. The island has a small fishing settlement, few visitors and some of the finest diving in Turks and Caicos, so most days here are shaped by the sea.

Picolo’s verdict

Why we chose Sailrock South Caicos

We picked Sailrock for travellers who come for the water and the silence. Divers and snorkellers get the reef on their doorstep, and the beach is often empty enough to feel private.

Do not come for nightlife or a choice of places to eat. There is little outside the resort, and the limited flight schedule means you need to plan arrivals and departures with care.

What you get

  • Villas and suites on the hillside
  • Dive sites close to shore
  • Quiet beach below the resort
  • Sea views from the slope
  • An island with few visitors
