Rock House
Pale stone and wood on the cliffs, a jetty running out over clear water and ladders in the rock instead of a sandy beach.
Climb down the ladder, let go of the rock, and you are swimming in water clear enough to see the bottom far below. Rock House is built along the north shore cliffs, and the long jetty is where most days here begin and end.
The buildings are pale stone and wood, with a Mediterranean feel that sets them apart from the white colonial look of Grace Bay. A long, narrow pool follows the edge of the cliff, with the open sea beyond it.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Rock House
We picked it on design, for couples who would rather swap the usual beach resort for something with more character. The setting is dramatic, the look is distinctive, and swimming from the jetty feels quite different from a day on the sand.
There is no long sandy beach here, so if lying on white sand is the point of your trip, stay on Grace Bay. Getting to the restaurants there also takes a drive, so plan on a car or taxis.

Does Rock House have a beach?
Not a sandy one. You swim from the jetty and from ladders set into the rock. For a classic sandy beach, Grace Bay is a drive away.
Who is Rock House best for?
Couples who care about design and want a setting that feels different from the big beach resorts. Families wanting sand for children will do better on Grace Bay.
Is Rock House close to Grace Bay?
No. It is up on the north shore, so reaching Grace Bay and its restaurants means taking a car or a taxi.
