Çırağan Palace Kempinski
You swim at the very edge of the Bosphorus, with tankers and ferries sliding past just beyond the rim of the pool.
The pool runs right to the water, so the only horizon is the Bosphorus itself, with tankers and ferries passing a stone’s throw away. Behind you, the gardens are big enough to make a city of fifteen million feel distant.
Çırağan began life as an Ottoman palace. Its white marble front looks out on the strait, with a private jetty below. The hotel wing has spacious, classic rooms, while the suites inside the palace itself are in a league of their own.

Why we chose Çırağan Palace Kempinski
This is a hotel for a special occasion: a honeymoon, a milestone birthday or a weekend where the stay matters more than the sightseeing. Nowhere else in Istanbul pairs a palace with a pool like this.
It is far from the old city. Reaching Hagia Sophia takes around half an hour by taxi when traffic is kind, so it is the wrong base if you plan to see the monuments early each morning.
