The Nai Harn
A white hotel stepped into the hillside over Nai Harn, where every room looks down on one of Phuket's quietest beaches.
Open the curtains and the bay is right there, a curve of pale sand with green hills on both sides. The Nai Harn is built in terraces up the slope, so the sea is the first thing you see from every room.
Down on the beach, the water is clear and the mood unhurried. Behind the sand lies a freshwater lake, and simple places to eat sit under the trees. It feels a long way from the crowds of Patong, though it is not.

Why we chose The Nai Harn
For a first trip to Phuket, this is where we would start. You get a clean, calm beach below the hotel, and both Kata and the cape at Promthep are easy outings when you want to see more of the south.
The hillside means stairs, lots of them, so think twice if anyone in your party struggles with steps. In high season, loungers by the pool go early and it can feel crowded.
What you get
- Sea view from every room
- Nai Harn beach just below
- Pool on the hillside
- Lake behind the beach for morning walks
- Easy trips to Kata and Promthep Cape
A day at The Nai Harn
- Morning
- A loop around the lake before the sun gets strong.
- Midday
- Swimming off Nai Harn while the water is clear and calm.
- Afternoon
- Lunch in the shade at one of the small beach restaurants.
- Evening
- A drive to Promthep Cape to watch the sun set at the island's southern tip.
