Rosewood Phuket
A quiet cove with its own sand, a hill between you and Patong's nightlife, and villas tucked into a garden that runs down to the water.
A hill does a lot of work here. On one side lies Patong, Phuket's loudest resort town. On the other is Emerald Bay, a small, sheltered cove where Rosewood has spread its villas through a garden that drops gently to the sand.
Many of the villas come with a pool, and the whole place is new and modern in style. The restaurants are strong enough that plenty of guests skip the short trip into Patong and eat at the hotel.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Rosewood Phuket
Rosewood solves a real Phuket problem: how to sleep in peace while staying close to the island's busiest strip. You get a beach of your own, and Patong's restaurants and bars are there when you want them.
Rates are high, even by Phuket's luxury standards. The cove is small, and in the monsoon months the water often turns choppy, so do not count on swimming every day between May and October.
What you get
- Private beach in Emerald Bay
- Pool with many of the villas
- Gardens sloping down to the sea
- Restaurants good enough to stay in for
- Patong a short drive away
A day at Rosewood Phuket
- Morning
- Breakfast with the cove still empty and the water glassy.
- Midday
- A swim from the hotel's own beach.
- Afternoon
- Back to the villa pool for the hottest hours.
- Evening
- Dinner at the hotel, or a quick ride over the hill to Patong.

Does Rosewood Phuket have a private beach?
Yes. It sits on Emerald Bay, a small cove of its own just south of Patong, shielded by a hill.
How close is Rosewood Phuket to Patong?
Very close. Patong lies just over the hill to the north, so its restaurants and nightlife are a short drive away.
Is Rosewood Phuket a good choice in the rainy season?
It is quieter and cheaper, but the cove is small and big monsoon waves can stop you swimming on some days.
