The water in Friendship Bay is calm enough that children paddle while their parents swim out a little further. Bequia Beach Hotel spreads back from the sand, with villas set in a garden, more than one pool, a spa and restaurants down by the beach.
The hotel has Swedish ownership and some of the strongest guest reviews on Bequia. It also runs boat trips out to the other islands of the Grenadines, so you can see more of the chain without organising it yourself.

Why we chose Bequia Beach Hotel
This is our first choice on Bequia. Beach, pools, spa and dinner all sit in one place, which makes it easy for couples and families alike, and the boat trips to the other islands are arranged from the hotel.
Friendship Bay is on the south side, away from the harbour at Port Elizabeth, so the restaurants and bars on Admiralty Bay mean a taxi or a water taxi. If you want to walk into town, Bequia Plantation Hotel is better placed.
