Cap Maison Resort & Spa
A plunge pool on your own roof terrace, a cove with a beach bar below and, on a clear day, Martinique on the horizon.
Cap Maison sits on the cliffs near the northern tip of St Lucia, a cluster of white, Spanish-style villas with terraces on the roof. Many come with a plunge pool up there, so the best seat is above your own room, looking out over the sea.
Steps lead down to a small cove with a bar on the sand, and the restaurant perches on the clifftop with a view that reaches Martinique when the air is clear. Rodney Bay, with its marina, restaurants and long Reduit Beach, is a short drive away.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Cap Maison Resort & Spa
We chose Cap Maison for couples after a small, quiet hotel with serious food, but who still like the option of an evening out. The rooftop pools and the clifftop setting give it more privacy than the bigger resorts nearby.
The beach is small, and anyone dreaming of long walks along the sand should book elsewhere or drive to Reduit Beach. There are no Piton views up here either; for those, you need the south-west coast.
