Picolo recommends · Hotel in Toiny, St Barths
Le Toiny
Your own pool, a terrace above the sea and no neighbours in sight, on the wild south east coast where the Atlantic breaks against dark rocks.
On the Toiny coast the sea is rougher and the hills are drier than elsewhere on St Barths. Le Toiny climbs the slope here, and each suite or villa comes with its own pool and a terrace looking out over the water.
Down by the shore the hotel has a beach club, and its restaurant has a name well beyond the island. Otherwise there is little around you, which is exactly why people come.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Le Toiny
Le Toiny is where we send those who want privacy. For a honeymoon or a big occasion, few places on St Barths give you this much space and quiet, with a pool you share with no one.
The south east coast is not for easy swimming, as the waves can be strong, and Gustavia and St-Jean are a drive away. If you want to stroll to shops and bars, this corner will feel remote.
