Picolo recommends · Hotel in Valencia, Spain
Vincci Lys
A side street off the town hall square, a short roll of the suitcase from Estació del Nord, and the old town about ten minutes away on foot.
Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the big town hall square with its flower stalls and fountain, is around the corner. Vincci Lys sits just off it on a quieter side street, so you get the centre without the traffic noise of the square itself.
Rooms are modern and kept simple, with nothing fussy and nothing missing. Estació del Nord, the modernist railway station with its tiled halls, is close by, which makes this an easy base if you arrive in Valencia by train.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Vincci Lys
This is our pick when the budget matters. You get a clean, modern room in the middle of the city at a fair price, and the old town and the Central Market are within an easy walk, so you spend less on taxis too.
Do not expect much character or a pool. It is a hotel for sleeping and showering between long days out, and if you want a place that feels like part of the trip, spend a little more elsewhere.
