The Westin
A fountain splashing in a courtyard garden full of trees, and the city traffic somewhere on the other side of the walls.
Come back from the city and the first thing you notice is the garden: trees, shade and a fountain in the middle of a big courtyard, with the hotel wrapped around it in a historic building.
Rooms are classic in style and generous in size, and there is a spa and a pool for when the heat builds. The fine arts museum and the Turia Gardens are close, and the old town is a ten-minute walk across the old riverbed.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose The Westin
We like it for travellers who want a proper grand hotel with room to breathe. The garden is one of the calmest spots in central Valencia for a morning coffee, and couples and families both fit in easily.
It is a large hotel from an international chain, so expect polish rather than personality. If you want a small, quirky place with local character, the boutique hotels in the old town will feel more like Valencia.
