SH Valencia Palace
Pull back the curtains and the Turia Gardens stretch out below, a long green ribbon running through the city where the river used to be.
The Turia Gardens follow the bed of the river that was moved out of the city after a flood, and SH Valencia Palace stands right beside them on the Paseo de la Alameda. Plenty of the rooms face the park, with the city beyond.
The rooms are big, there is a pool and a spa, and the gardens give children room to run and you room to cycle or jog. The old town lies in one direction and the City of Arts and Sciences in the other, both reachable along the park.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose SH Valencia Palace
We recommend it for families and anyone who wants space and a pool without leaving the city. Large rooms make longer stays easier, and having the park as your front garden is a real bonus with children.
The style is classic business hotel rather than boutique, so do not come looking for design or character. The main sights are a walk rather than a step away, which some will see as exercise and others as a chore.
