Walk out of the door and you are on a little square, with the old town on one side and Valencia’s shopping streets on the other. Inside, the decor is loud in the best sense: bold colours, mixed patterns and furniture that refuses to be beige.
The bar and restaurant are popular in their own right, so the ground floor hums well into the evening. Upstairs the rooms are comfortable and well kitted out, and the roof terrace is the place to end the day with a glass in hand above the city.

This is the easy answer for a first trip. The Central Market and the cathedral are close, the location is hard to beat, and the hotel itself has some life in the evening, which saves you hunting for a bar on night one.
If you want hushed corridors and a library-quiet lobby, this is not it. The public areas fill up with people coming for the bar and restaurant, so travellers after calm should look at a more discreet hotel.
