Hotel Neptuno
Cross the road from the lobby and your feet are in the sand, with the evening promenade and its restaurants starting right at the door.
Hotel Neptuno faces the sea from the promenade at Las Arenas, with only the road and a strip of sand between you and the water. It is a small hotel with modern rooms and views out over the Mediterranean.
Its restaurant is known for rice dishes, which in Valencia means paella and its many cousins cooked in wide, shallow pans. When the heat drops in the evening, the promenade outside fills with families, couples and diners heading for the seafront tables.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hotel Neptuno
We chose Neptuno for couples and friends who want to wake up by the sea on a more modest budget than the grand hotels ask. The beach is across the road, dinner is downstairs, and the city centre is a short ride away.
There is no pool, and the hotel is small and simple, so do not expect resort facilities or much to do on site. If you want sun loungers by a pool, the bigger hotel further along the beach is the better fit.
