From the bed you look down on the Han River and the whole sprawl of Seoul, from the top of the tallest building in Korea.
Lotte World Tower rises over Jamsil in the south-east of Seoul, and Signiel takes its upper floors. Every room faces out over the city, and at night the river bridges and the apartment blocks turn into strings of light.
The pool is up in the tower too, so you swim with the skyline beside you. A shopping mall, the Lotte World theme park and the Seoul Sky observation deck share the same complex.

We picked Signiel for the view and for the occasion. An anniversary, a proposal or simply a last night in Seoul feels different when the whole city is laid out under the window.
Jamsil is far from the palaces and the old city, so sightseeing days start with a metro ride. If you want to wander out of the hotel into historic streets, stay north of the river instead.
