Signiel Busan

  • Sea views
  • Infinity pool
  • Tower hotel
  • Haeundae
  • Quiet luxury

High above the eastern end of Haeundae, the bedroom windows hold nothing but sea, and the pool edge seems to run straight into the beach.

From the upper floors of the tower, the bay of Haeundae lies below you like a map: the curve of sand, the hotels lining it and the ships waiting offshore. Rooms are oriented towards the water, so the view is the first thing you see when you wake.

Down at the pool, the water ends at a glass edge above the beach. Right outside, the old coastal railway has become the Sky Capsule, small colourful cars that roll slowly along the cliffs from Mipo.

Picolo’s verdict

Why we chose Signiel Busan

This is Busan at its most polished. It is newer than most of the beachfront and calmer too, and it suits travellers who want serious luxury with a sea view that rarely leaves the frame.

You pay for the height and the polish, and rates sit above most of the hotels further along the beach. You are also in a tower rather than on the sand, so it is less suited to families who want to run straight into the water.

What you get

  • Infinity pool facing the beach
  • Rooms looking straight out to sea
  • High-end service in a modern tower
  • Haeundae beach at the foot of the building
  • Sky Capsule rides along the coast from Mipo

Questions about Signiel Busan

Where is Signiel Busan located?

It takes up the upper floors of a skyscraper where Haeundae beach ends to the east, close to Mipo and the start of the Sky Capsule coastal ride.

Does Signiel Busan have a pool?

Yes, an infinity pool with an edge that looks out over the beach and the sea. It is at its most striking around dusk.

Is Signiel Busan worth the higher price?

If the view and a newer, calmer hotel matter to you, yes. If you mainly want to be on the sand with children, a hotel directly on the beach gives better value.
