Josun Palace
Chandeliers hang over the swimming pool, and the corridors feel more like a gallery than a hotel in the middle of business Gangnam.
Josun Palace arrived in Gangnam in 2021, borrowing its name from one of the oldest hotels in Korea. The look is polished and grown-up: marble, contemporary art on the walls and a pool lit by chandeliers.
South of the river, Gangnam is the Seoul of K-beauty, flagship stores and long café menus. Apgujeong and Cheongdam, the smartest shopping streets, are close by, and the side streets are full of small galleries and concept stores worth an afternoon.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Josun Palace
We chose Josun Palace for travellers who want the modern city rather than the historic one. It is a calm, elegant base for shopping, galleries and eating well south of the Han.
The palaces and old lanes are north of the river, roughly half an hour by metro. If historic Seoul is the main reason for your trip, a hotel near Gwanghwamun will save you time.
