Grand Hyatt Jeju
A pool on the roof of the tallest building on Jeju, with the city spread below, the sea beyond and the airport a few minutes away.
From the rooftop the whole north side of the island opens up, with the city in the foreground and the sea beyond. Grand Hyatt occupies Jeju Dream Tower, the tallest building on Jeju, close to the airport.
Inside there are many restaurants to choose from, and the terrace with its pool is the place to be on a clear afternoon. It works best as a base: out by hire car in the morning, back to the city to eat at night.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Grand Hyatt Jeju
We chose it for travellers who want the convenience of the city on Jeju. You land, check in within minutes, and have the island's best range of restaurants around you rather than a single resort dining room.
There is no beach here, and the setting is urban rather than natural. If your trip is about pools and sand with children, The Shilla in Jungmun suits you better. Iho Tewoo is the nearest beach if you want the sea.
What you get
- Rooftop terrace with a pool
- Many restaurants in the building
- Views over the city and the sea
- Close to the airport, good for a hire car
- Large-hotel service
