Steenberg Hotel & Spa
Whitewashed Cape Dutch gables among the vines of an old Constantia farm, with the mountains rising behind the golf course.
Rows of vines run up towards the mountains, and between them stand white buildings with the curved gables of Cape Dutch farms. Steenberg is one of the oldest estates in the Cape, set in Constantia on the city's southern side.
The estate makes its own wine and has a golf course and a spa, so days can pass without leaving the gate. The beaches along False Bay are closer than the city centre, which makes it a good base for the southern peninsula.

Why we chose Steenberg Hotel & Spa
We pick it for anyone who wants the winelands without the long drive. You can taste in the morning and be at the sea by afternoon, and the estate restaurant is a reason to stay in for dinner.
You are not in the city here. The Waterfront and centre are a drive away, so you will want a car, and those who like to walk out of the door into cafés and bars should stay closer in.
