Cape Grace
A smaller hotel on a quay of its own between marina and yacht basin, where masts and hulls fill the view from the windows.
Halyards tap against masts just below the window, and behind the marina the mountain catches the late light. Cape Grace has a quay to itself at the Waterfront, with water on more than one side.
A recent refurbishment brought in colours and patterns from the Cape itself, so the rooms feel local rather than generic. The Waterfront crowds are close, yet the hotel sits slightly apart, and that small distance is what you pay for.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Cape Grace
We like it for couples who want the harbour and the restaurants of the Waterfront without staying in a large resort. It is calmer and more personal than its big neighbour, and evenings by the boats are lovely.
There is no beach and no big garden, and the Waterfront itself can feel like a shopping district by day. If you want sand, surf or mountain trails outside the door, look along the Atlantic coast instead.
