Rikli Balance Hotel
A modern lakeside hotel named after the Swiss healer who first made Bled a resort, with a spa built for long, slow afternoons.
Step onto the balcony and the lake is right below, with the island straight ahead. The hotel takes its name from Arnold Rikli, a Swiss believer in fresh air and water cures who brought health seekers to Bled in the 1800s.
That idea lives on in the spa, with several pools and saunas, including an outdoor pool looking out to the lake. You are in the centre of town, so cafés, the promenade and the lakeside path all start at the door.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Rikli Balance Hotel
We chose Rikli for walkers who want a reward at the end of the day. Hike around the lake or up to the viewpoints, then spend the rest of the afternoon between the saunas and the pools.
This is a large, modern building, and from the outside it has none of the old-world feel of the villas around the lake. If character matters more than facilities, another hotel will suit you better.
