The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
A neoclassical post office from 1928, turned into a hotel at the exact point where the Singapore River opens into the bay.
Climb the steps between the granite columns and the light changes: the atrium rises through the building, pale and quiet after the heat of the quay. This was where Singapore posted its letters from 1928, and the lobby still keeps traces of that past.
As a national monument, the exterior stays as it was built. Outside, the river curves past Boat Quay and the old bridges, and the towers of the financial district stand right behind you. Bumboats, the small wooden river taxis, tie up along the quay below.

Why we chose The Fullerton Hotel Singapore
It gives you a heritage building in the middle of everything without paying Raffles prices. The river walk, the bay and the Civic District museums are all close, and the pool is a fine spot to watch the river traffic.
Not every room comes with a view of the water. Some look into the atrium, which can feel enclosed, so book a river or bay category if the window matters to you.
