Raffles Seychelles
Every villa has its own pool and a sea view, so the hardest choice of the day is whether to swim in yours or drive over to Anse Lazio.
Raffles sits on the north-east coast of Praslin at Anse Takamaka, with its villas stepped up the hillside. Each comes with a private pool and a view across the water towards the neighbouring islands.
The spa is large and there are several restaurants, so the hotel works as a self-contained world. When you do want to leave, Anse Lazio, one of Praslin's best-known beaches, is only a short drive round the coast.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Raffles Seychelles
For couples who want plenty of space and polished service, Raffles delivers. The villas are generous, the pools are properly private, and the location makes both Anse Lazio and the Vallée de Mai easy outings.
The beach right below the hotel is not always its strong point: seaweed and waves arrive at certain times of year. If swimming from your doorstep matters most, compare it with a hotel on a calmer bay.
