Hilton Seychelles Northolme
Wooden villas stepping down a granite slope to a small cove, and a terrace where the evening is measured by how low the sun has sunk.
The villas at Northolme cling to the rocks at Glacis, on the north coast of Mahé, and most of them look straight out to sea. Built in timber and scattered over the slope, they feel more like a small hillside village than a resort.
The hotel is compact and does not take young children, which keeps the mood hushed. Local lore links an earlier hotel on this spot with Ian Fleming, a story the place wears lightly.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hilton Seychelles Northolme
We chose it for couples who want calm without being cut off. Beau Vallon's restaurants and beach life are close by, yet the hotel itself is small, quiet and oriented entirely towards the sunset.
Do not book Northolme for the beach. The cove below is small and rocky, so swimming is more about the pool and the sea ladder than long days on sand. Families with little ones will need another hotel.
