Constance Ephelia
Two beaches, a marine park just beyond the shallows and enough room that children can run while parents find a quiet corner.
Snorkel masks go on straight from the sand at Port Launay, where the bay in front of Constance Ephelia is protected as a marine national park. The resort wraps around the north-west tip of Mahé, with a beach on each side.
It is built on a generous scale: several pools, a long list of restaurants, tennis courts, watersports and a kids' club. Families get variety, and couples can usually find a stretch of beach that feels like their own.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Constance Ephelia
Our family pick in the Seychelles. Few resorts here have this much space or this much to do, and the calm water in the marine park makes the sea easy for younger swimmers.
The size is the trade-off. Getting from your room to the far beach or a particular restaurant can take a while, and anyone after an intimate, hushed hotel should look elsewhere.
