Square Nine Hotel Belgrade
A calm, carefully designed hotel on a leafy square in the old town, with the pedestrian streets of central Belgrade a few minutes away.
Morning light falls through the trees of Studentski trg, the university square, and Square Nine looks straight onto it. The hotel is known for its considered interiors: warm wood, clean lines and a quiet that is rare this close to the centre of Belgrade.
From the door it is a short walk to Knez Mihailova, the pedestrian street that leads to Kalemegdan fortress, and to the cafés of Dorćol. After a long day on foot, the spa is the place to sit down and do very little.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Square Nine Hotel Belgrade
We chose Square Nine for its mix of design and location. You can walk to most of what a first visit to Belgrade is about, then come back to a hotel that feels composed rather than busy. It suits couples and travellers who notice interiors.
This is a city hotel, not a resort, so do not expect gardens or wide views over the rivers. If you want to look out across the Sava from a high floor, the St. Regis at Belgrade Waterfront is the better match.
