Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa
Trees, lawns and birdsong instead of glass towers: a resort for sleeping off a long flight in genuine quiet.
After the traffic of the city, the grounds at Al Messila come as a surprise: green lawns, mature trees and paths that wind between low buildings. The noise of Doha simply fades out.
The whole resort is built around rest: a big spa, a choice of pools and villas that each come with a private pool. It lies a short drive from the centre, so the city is close without being in the room with you.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Al Messila, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa
We chose it for recovery. After a long-haul flight, or at the end of a busy trip, few places in Doha let you switch off so completely without leaving the city behind.
You get no sea here, and every outing starts with a taxi. If you want nightlife or to walk to the souk, the quiet here will feel more like isolation.
