Walk out past the pools and you are on Santa Eulália, a long sweep of golden sand just east of Albufeira. Grande Real Santa Eulália sits right behind it, with spacious pools, a spa and rooms that face the sea.
Albufeira is the Algarve's busiest resort town, and this is a way to have it on hand without living in the middle of it. The coastal walk into town takes about half an hour, and a taxi makes the trip back easy after dinner.

Why we chose Grande Real Santa Eulália
We like it for its position. You get a proper beach on the doorstep and the restaurants and nightlife of Albufeira within reach, while the hotel itself stays a step removed. It works for couples and families alike.
Santa Eulália is no secret. In July and August the beach fills up early, and this is a popular resort area rather than a quiet corner. If you want wild coast and calm, the west of the Algarve suits you better.
