Cascade Wellness Resort
A spa resort on the cliffs at Ponta da Piedade, where the coastal path starts almost at the garden and Lagos is ten minutes away.
Below the garden the rock drops away in golden cliffs and the sea turns green in the coves. Cascade Wellness Resort stands on the headland at Ponta da Piedade, just outside Lagos, with wide gardens, several pools and rooms facing the Atlantic.
The coves under the cliffs are reached on foot down steps, or from the water by boat. The path along the headland is one of the finest walks in the Algarve, and Lagos, with its old town and harbour, takes about ten minutes to reach.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Cascade Wellness Resort
We picked it for the combination: a proper spa and room to breathe, with the cliffs on the doorstep and a lively town close enough for dinner. It suits couples and families alike, and walkers in particular.
Do not come expecting a beach below your balcony. The nearest sand is a small cove some distance on foot, so if long beach days are the plan, a hotel by Meia Praia or further east will suit you better.
