PURO Kraków Stare Miasto
Bright rooms, serious beds and good coffee in the lobby, with the Planty park between you and the Old Town square.
PURO is a Polish hotel brand built on clean design, and this one sits on Ogrodowa, just north of the Planty, the ring of parkland that replaced the old city walls. Cross the park and you are on the square in around ten minutes.
Rooms are compact but cleverly laid out and full of daylight, the beds are taken seriously, and the lobby doubles as a good place for coffee. The restaurant draws locals as well as guests.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose PURO Kraków Stare Miasto
Our value pick in Krakow: a smart, modern hotel at a fair price, with quiet nights and easy access from the airport train at the main station nearby. A sensible choice for a first visit on a budget.
You give up the medieval atmosphere of staying inside the Old Town. If you want vaulted ceilings and centuries of history around you, this deliberately modern building is the wrong fit.
