Park Hyatt Auckland
Masts in the marina below your balcony and the Harbour Bridge across the water, on the quieter western edge of the city waterfront.
Step onto the balcony and the yachts in the marina are right below, with the Harbour Bridge arching over the water beyond. Park Hyatt stands in Wynyard Quarter, the redeveloped waterfront district on the western side of the city centre.
The rooms are generous, and the mood is unhurried rather than flashy. When the weather turns, there is an indoor pool and a spa, and the ferry piers for the islands of the Hauraki Gulf are an easy stroll along the water.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Park Hyatt Auckland
This is our first choice in Auckland. You get the harbour on your doorstep, rooms with space to unpack properly, and a calm atmosphere that makes it a good place to land after a long flight from Europe.
Wynyard Quarter is a little removed from the busiest shopping streets, so if you want to step straight out into the centre of town, the InterContinental or The Hotel Britomart puts you closer to the action.
