Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort

  • Lagoon pool
  • Family friendly
  • Larvotto
  • Sea views
  • Balconies

A resort on a peninsula of its own in Larvotto, where children paddle in a lagoon with a sandy floor and palms shade the pools.

Your feet touch soft sand, yet you are in a pool. The lagoon at Monte-Carlo Bay has a sandy bottom, and around it more pools sit among the palms on a peninsula that juts into the sea at the eastern end of Monaco.

Most rooms have a balcony, and many face the water. The beaches of Larvotto are close, and the whole place has the spread-out feel of a resort, which is rare in a country where most hotels are squeezed between streets.

Picolo’s verdict

Why we chose Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort

This is the one we recommend for families. There is room to move, water to play in all day and a beach nearby, all without leaving Monaco or giving up the evening walk into town.

It does not feel like staying in the heart of Monte-Carlo. Place du Casino is roughly a quarter of an hour away on foot, and the lagoon closes in the cooler months, so winter guests lose its biggest draw.

What you get
