Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo
A Belle Époque hotel on the ridge above Port Hercule, where light falls through a glass dome and balconies look across to the Prince's Palace.
Morning light comes down through the glass dome and lands on the salon floor, the room most guests remember. Outside, the Hermitage stands on the edge of the ridge, so the harbour, the yachts and the Prince's Palace on its rock fill the view from many balconies.
The building dates from the Belle Époque, the decades around 1900, and it still has that era's taste for high ceilings and stucco. Place du Casino is a couple of minutes away on foot, close enough for dinner and a late walk home without the full glare of the square.

Why we chose Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo
We picked the Hermitage for travellers who want a classic Monte-Carlo stay with a little more calm. The view from the harbour side is one of the best in town, and the dome gives the hotel a character of its own.
It is cheaper than Hôtel de Paris, but still very expensive. Rooms on the street side get less light and none of the harbour view, so pay the extra for the sea side or the stay loses much of its point.
