Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz
A low limestone resort among gardens at the edge of a Gozo village, with the cliffs of Dwejra a couple of kilometres away.
Gozo is Malta’s smaller, greener sister island, a short ferry ride from the main island. In its north-west corner, at the edge of San Lawrenz village, the Kempinski is built low in local limestone around wide gardens.
There are pools both outdoors and indoors, and a spa that draws many guests outside the summer months. Dwejra, with its sea cliffs and inland sea, is a couple of kilometres from the hotel.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz
We chose it for slow days on Gozo: villages and coastal walks by day, the gardens and spa in the evening. It suits anyone who values calm and space over a busy holiday.
This is a countryside resort, not a beach hotel. The sea is a drive away, and anyone hoping to stroll to the sand or choose from many restaurants at night should base themselves elsewhere.
