Corinthia Hotel St George's Bay
A large resort on the rocks at St George’s Bay, where pools step down in terraces until the last one is the Mediterranean.
From a sea-facing room there is nothing between you and the open Mediterranean. Below the balconies, the pools drop in terraces towards the rocks, and at the bottom is the hotel’s own swimming area in the sea.
Corinthia is a Maltese hotel group, and this is its flagship on home ground. Many of the staff have worked here for years, and between the spa and the restaurants you rarely need to leave.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Corinthia Hotel St George's Bay
We chose it for travellers who want a full resort but with a local owner and a calmer, more adult feel than the big family hotels next door. The terraced pools down to the sea are the highlight.
The hotel stands alone on the rocks. If you like to step out to a café or browse shops in the evening, you will need a walk or a taxi, and Valletta is a bus or ferry trip away.
