Dome Hotel & Spa
A handful of rooms in an old house beside the Dome Cathedral, all creaking timber and steep stairs, with a terrace above the Old Town roofs.
The cathedral is close enough that its bells set the rhythm of the day. Dome Hotel occupies an old building just beside it, with wooden beams, narrow stairs and only a small number of rooms.
The restaurant is the draw for many guests: its terrace looks across the tiled roofs of the Old Town. No two rooms are quite alike, which is part of the appeal and part of the caveat.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Dome Hotel & Spa
We like Dome Hotel because it feels like staying in a house rather than a hotel. For couples who enjoy old buildings and want the cathedral on their doorstep, it is hard to beat in the Old Town.
Old houses come with stairs and tight corridors. If you travel with large suitcases, have limited mobility or expect a lift to every floor, choose Pullman or the Kempinski instead.

How close is Dome Hotel to the Dome Cathedral?
It is a few steps away, in an old building right by the cathedral in the centre of the Old Town.
Is Dome Hotel suitable for guests with heavy luggage?
Not ideal. The building has narrow stairs and tight corridors, so it is less suited to large suitcases or anyone who needs step-free access.
Does Dome Hotel have a restaurant?
Yes, and its terrace looks out over the Old Town rooftops, one of the reasons many couples choose to stay here.
