Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa
A big, easy-going resort where children can splash in the pools while the grown-ups take turns floating in the salt sea below.
Step out onto the balcony in the morning and there it is: the still, milky water and, beyond it, the hills on the opposite shore. Most rooms here have a balcony, and plenty of them face the sea.
Below, the grounds spread out with a generous number of pools and a beach of the hotel's own. The Dead Sea itself is fun for a short float, but the salt stings, so the pools are where children spend most of the day.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa
We picked the Marriott for families. There is room to spread out, more pools than anyone needs, and the spa works with minerals from the Dead Sea. It costs less than the Kempinski, which matters when you are booking for four.
It is not the most luxurious address on the shore, and the style is more large international resort than boutique. Couples looking for a special-occasion stay will find the Kempinski a better fit.
