Cervo Hotel
The hotel in the middle of Porto Cervo, where the yachts in the marina, the boutiques and the evening piazza are all just outside.
Porto Cervo was laid out in the 1960s as the showcase village of the Costa Smeralda, and Cervo Hotel sits at its centre. Walk out the door and you are on the piazza, with the boutiques and the marina full of yachts a few steps away.
The hotel has a terrace, a garden, a gym and a pool that opens for the season. Golfers have the Pevero course close by, and in the evening the whole village gathers on the piazza for an aperitivo and a look at the boats.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Cervo Hotel
We like it for people who would rather be in the middle of things than tucked away in a cove. Restaurants, the marina and the evening scene are on foot, which suits couples, groups of friends and golfers.
It is not a beach hotel. Reaching the coves means getting in the car or on a boat, and the piazza can be busy and loud on summer nights. If you want silence and sand, look at the bay hotels instead.
What you get
- Porto Cervo marina on the doorstep
