Hotel Eden
A rooftop bar above the trees of Villa Borghese, with St Peter's on the horizon and the whole of central Rome laid out at sunset.
At sunset the roof of the Eden is where Rome comes to look at itself. The tree canopy of Villa Borghese fills the foreground, and beyond it the domes run all the way to St Peter's.
Below the roof, the hotel has been rebuilt from scratch. Rooms are bright, in warm tones with marble and art throughout, and everything feels new and carefully finished.

Picolo’s verdict
Why we chose Hotel Eden
The Eden is our choice when the brief is simply the best in Rome. It is polished down to the last detail, the location by the park is calm and green, and the roof is a destination in its own right.
It is expensive, and you pay for the finish. The quiet streets around it mean the Spanish Steps are about fifteen minutes away on foot and the Pantheon around twenty. Lovers of cobbled lanes may find it too sedate.
